Why we ask for permissions

About 4 minutes · Android Kids apps

ఈ గైడ్ ప్రస్తుతం ఆంగ్లంలో మాత్రమే అందుబాటులో ఉంది—క్రింద పూర్తి ఆంగ్ల వచనం.

The short answer

Android does not let any app fairly limit screen time without a few special permissions. CuriOra asks only for what enforcement and sync need. We design these for guidance and fair budgets—not for scaring kids or selling data.

Required for limits to work

Accessibility

Why: When a budget is used up, CuriOra needs a reliable way to block or close the app that’s over the limit.

What it is not: It is not a way for us to read your messages, control your bank apps for profit, or run ads.

Usage access (app usage)

Why: So budgets are based on real app use, and parents can see calm summaries of what was used.

What it is not: Not a live video feed of the screen, and not a keylogger.

Strongly recommended

Notifications

So the Kids app can wake for rule updates and when a parent approves extra time. Without notifications, limits still work but may feel slower to update.

Optional

Location

Why (if you turn it on): Parents can see a last check-in style location on Devices—useful when a phone is with the child away from home.

What it is not: Continuous spy tracking. Kids do not see a parent map. You can skip location and still use limits, pairing, and quests.
