Make install and uninstall harder on CuriOra Kids: block Settings, package installers, and app stores on the Protect tab. Protection needs Accessibility—it is not Device Admin. Some brand (OEM) paths may still allow uninstall; re-pair and re-block if needed.
You’ll need
- Parent · correct child
- Kids paired · Accessibility + Usage access on (setup)
- Kids open once recently so Protect can list system apps
Step 1 — Open Protect
- Tap Limits.
- Open the Protect tab.
Only protection apps on this child’s phone are listed.
Step 2 — Block recommended apps
- Tap Block all recommended, or Block (recommended) on each row.
- Typical targets: Settings, package installer, Play Store, brand stores (e.g. Galaxy Store).
Step 3 — Confirm Blocked
- While Accessibility is on, those apps pause when opened—harder to install or uninstall.
- Parent needs Settings later? Tap Allow, finish, then Block again.
Important limits
- CuriOra Kids does not use Device Admin — everyday-phone design.
- If Accessibility is off or Kids is force-stopped, Protect blocks may stop.
- Some OEM / brand paths (security hubs, app managers, dual space) may still allow uninstall. Re-pair and re-block if that happens.
If it’s not working
- Empty Protect list → open Kids with monitoring on; wait for sync; update Kids if prompted.
- Still opens Settings → Accessibility still on for CuriOra Kids?
- Kids was uninstalled → reinstall, pair again, then re-block on Protect.
- Parent needs store → Allow temporarily, then Block again.
